Emotions are not an extension of logic. Therefore, I refuse to justify them

Conclusion from "six thinking hats" by Edward de Bono.

The point that De Bono wants to make is that emotions should be expressed alone, without trying to make up reasons or logical explanations because trying to base them on logical facts can be very dangerous: eg. Imagine you don´t like someone because you feel "he is suspicious" and you try to argument WHY he IS suspicious, and you eventually convince your peers, to act against this poor person. "There may be more danger in prejudices which are apparently founded in logic than those which are acknowledged as emotions"
